Shout out to all of you who came out last Saturday to the Roxie Theater for the screening of Phillip Rodriguez’s seminal documentary Ruben Salazar: Man in the Middle. We filled the house to capacity!
Thank you to journalist Camille Taiara (far left) for moderating; to Dr. Félix Gutiérrez, professor at USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, for the introduction; and (left to right) Ernesto B. Vigil, member of the Crusade for Justice from 1968–1981, Rosalío Muñoz, co-chair of the 1970 Chicano Moratorium in Los Angeles, and Ricardo Lopez, advisor and Associate Producer of the film, for taking part in the panel discussion after the screening.
Oh, and many thanks to Acción Latina, El Tecolote, CCSF Journalism Dept. & CCSF Mecha, SFSU Latina/o Studies, Allison Santiago from the Xicana Moratorium Coalition in Oakland, ¡y a toda La Raza que vino desde hasta San José!
